Volunteers and professionals, orthopaedic specialists, physiotherapists, doctors, psychologists, mine-clearance experts, technicians, social and economic inclusion project managers... all of Handicap International's teams have chosen to use their energy and skills to enable disabled people and the most vulnerable members of society to regain their dignity and a place in their communities.

Fitting artificial limbs and providing psychological support, mine-clearance work and prevention, inclusive education and access to leisure activities, campaigning and taking action...Handicap International's teams work in all areas to help disabled people regain their independence and their place in the community.

They prioritise training and sharing their know-how, as well as the use of local techniques and resources and spontaneity. They work closely with teachers, health professionals, local organisations, political authorities, key economic players and the individual's family and friends so that everyone becomes an active member of a vast support network. The aim:  for everyone to be concerned by development.
