Handicap International relies on its salaried staff, volunteers, interns and voluntary workers to provide assistance to disabled and other vulnerable people in France and in the sixty or so other countries in which it operates. It is always looking for skilled people to help run its programmes in the field and to organise its operations at head office in Lyons (France), or in its branches and sections.

A real HR policy
The association aims to help each of its 2500 team members, whether salaried employees, international solidarity volunteers, interns or voluntary workers, in France or abroad, to pursue their own professional project whilst taking part in its actions, providing them with follow-up, support and assistance in the field and at head office.
Opportunities for everyone
There is a status for whatever type of engagement is best suited to your profile and project:
-voluntary workers, at head office, in our branches across France or on our programmes, offer unpaid services on an ad hoc basis;
- interns work for the association during a work placement, with training included;
- international solidarity volunteers are professionals who work on our programmes full-time for a limited period ; their basic costs are covered, but they are not paid a salary.
- salaried workers at head office or on our programmes are experienced professionals who choose to make a career commitment to international aid and development.
Inclusion of people with disabilities
The association also wishes to make an active contribution to the social and professional inclusion of people with disabilities through its in-house recruitment policy, providing long-term employment both at head office and on its programmes.
At head office and in the field, the association expects all its team members to adhere to the association's values and principles.
