The Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister, Ursula Plassnik, was presented with a series of petitions gathered by Handicap International calling for a ban on cluster bombs.
The association's international spokesman, Rae Mac Grath, handed over a bound copy of the petition, which contains the signatures of 478,000 people from across Europe who oppose the use of these weapons.
The representative of the Austrian campaign presented the petitions collected in Austria, including 3,500 signatures gathered during the Shoe Pyramid organised on 1 December in Vienna by Handicap International.
