La visibilité accrue du handicap dans les questions des
droits
de l’Homme et de développement, a amené
de plus en
plus d’Etats à présenter une position
officielle
sur leur politique de coopération internationale en
matière de handicap.
Ces
réflexions et positionnements montrent une
volonté de
repenser et de formaliser ces politiques et la
nécessité
de prendre parti sur ces sujets aujourd’hui.

The increased presence of disability in matters of human rights and
development has prompted more and more States to adopt a formal
position regarding their international cooperation policy on disability.
Reflection
and
positioning in this way are evidence of the will to re-examine and
re-state their policies, and the need to take sides on these important
questions.

Il
présente
également les outils créés par le
projet, à
savoir, des « états des lieux »
de la situation
dans différents pays européens, des outils de
formation,
des rapports de séminaires et conférences
internationales
et des « bonnes pratiques ».

chapter
consists of extracts from the website set up as part of the IDDC
project Mainstreaming disability in development cooperation. The whole
website is online at: www.make-development-inclusive.org
This
site groups
reference documents relating to disability in international cooperation
policies, and also serves as a link with websites and other resources
on this theme. This is delivered in partnership with Source –
the
International Information Support Centre www.asksource.info
It also contains tools which were developed in the framework of this
project, including mapping exercises to assess the situation in various
European countries, training tools, reports and minutes from
international conferences, and “best practices”.
